Moss Sent Back to Pawtucket

As the Red Sox prepare to welcome back David Oriz to the starting line-up tonight, they have optioned Brandon Moss back to Pawtucket.

Moss hit .295 with two homers and 11 RBI's in 34 games this season with Boston.

Following today's 5-1 loss to the A's in Tokyo, the Red Sox announced that Brandon Moss has been optioned to the PawSox to begin the 2008 season.

Moss had a homer and two RBI's in the Sox' opener yesterday but was 0 for 3 with three strikeouts today.

Plans are to work out Moss at both first base and the outfield when he takes the field at McCoy.
