Here is a round-up of the action from around the International League yesterday...

The Scranton/Wilkes Barre Yankees picked-up a game on the PawSox as Daniel McCutchen threw a five-hit shutout over the Syracuse Chiefs, 5-0. McCutchen struck out ten and walked no one. BOX

The Norfolk Tides had a seven run sixth inning to propel them to a 10-3 win over the Richmond Braves. BOX

Four Indianapolis Indians pitchers combined on a four hit shutout as Indy beat the Louisville Bats 3-0. BOX

Catcher Luke Montz drove in four runs to lead the Columbus Clippers to a 6-5 win over the Toledo Mud Hens. BOX

Francisco Liriano threw six impressive innings to lead the Rochester Red Wings to a 2-0 win over the Buffalo Bisons. BOX

The Charlotte Knights scored in every inning but two as they trounced the Durham Bulls 11-6. BOX

Game Wraps- July 4, 2008

Independence Day gave us a full slate of games across the International League. Here are the results...

In the battle for second place in the IL North, the Syracuse Chiefs got a game closer to the Scranton/Wilkes Barre, beating the Yankees 8-5. BOX

The Louisville Bats scattered eight hits in their 4-2 win over the Indianapolis Indians. BOX

Tike Redman broke-up a 4-4 tie with a RBI single in the top of the 14th inning to lead the Norfolk Tides to a 6-4 win over the Richmond Braves. BOX

Pitcher's duel in Toledo as the Columbus Clippers edged the Mud Hens 1-0. BOX

Howie Clark went 4 for 4, driving in three runs to lead the Rochester Red Wings to a 8-1 win over the Buffalo Bisons. BOX

The Durham Bulls scored single runs in the eighth and ninth to nip the Charlotte Knights, 2-1. BOX

Game Wraps-July 3, 2008

Happy Independence Day! Here is a wrap of the action from around the International League yesterday...

Trevor Plouffe broke up a 6-6 tie in the top of the 13th inning to pace the Rochester Red Wings to a 7-6 win over the Buffalo Bisons. BOX

Jason Bourgeois went 3 for 4 and drove in a pair of runs as the Charlotte Knights beat the Durham Bulls 7-3. BOX

The Indianapolis Indians and Louisville Bats had their own fireworks display for the fans last night, with the Bats holding on to a 12-11 win. BOX

Pete Orr and Ofilio Castro drove in three runs apiece to lead the Columbus Clippers to a 10-4 rout of the Toledo Mud Hens. The Clippers and Hens are now tied atop the IL West Division. BOX

The Richmond Braves scored six early runs and were able to hang on to a 6-5 win over the Norfolk Tides. BOX

Rain got in the way of Scranton/Wilkes Barre's game at Lehigh Valley. The game was suspended in the second inning with the Iron Pigs on top of the Yankees 2-0.

Here is a wrap of all the other action from around the International League...

The Scranton/Wilkes Barre Yankees gained a game on the PawSox in the IL North Division standings, taking out Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs, 5-3. The Yankees were aided by three Iron Pig errors, leading to two un-earned runs. BOX

Justin Ruggiano went 3 for 4 with two homers and two runs driven in to lead the Durham Bulls to a 7-1 win over the Charlotte Knights. The Bulls have won five straight. BOX

Josh Wilson went 3 for 5 with two RBI's as the Indianapolis Indians beat the Louisville Bats 8-5. BOX

Matt Macri broke-up a 4-4 tie with an RBI single in the top of the 12th as the Rochester Red Wings nipped the Buffalo Bisons, 5-4. BOX

The Columbus Clippers scattered 11 hits and beat the Toledo Mud Hens, 5-3. BOX

The Norfolk Tides scored all their runs in the first two innings and held on to beat the Richmond Braves 8-4. BOX

It's a new month, but a full slate of games across the International League. Here is what happened on the field this first day of July...

The Scranton/Wilkes Barre Yankees kept pace with the PawSox in the IL North, as Justin Christian and JD Closser drove in all five Yankee runs in their 5-2 win over the Buffalo Bisons. BOX

Chris Richard went 4 for 5 and drove in two runs to lead the Durham Bulls to a 8-2 triumph over the Charlotte Knights. BOX

Josh Fogg pitched eight innings of shutout ball and Chris Dickerson belted a homer and drove in all five Louisville runs as the Bats shut-out the Indianapolis Indians, 5-0. BOX

The Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs had three players drive in three runs apiece as they dominated the Rochester Red Wings 12-5. BOX

The Columbus Clippers broke out to a big early lead and held on to edge the Toledo Mud Hens 9-7. BOX

Mike Costanzo broke-up a 3-3 tie by belting a solo homer in the sixth to pace the Norfolk Tides to a 4-3 win over the Richmond Braves. BOX

Game Wraps- June 30, 2008

Here is the action from around the International League from games played yesterday...

The Scranton/Wilkes Barre Yankees scored four runs in the bottom of the ninth to over take the Buffalo Bisons, 5-4. JD Closser belted a three-run homer and Chris Basak drove in the game-winner on a sacrifice fly. BOX

Every batter in the Charlotte Knight's line-up collected one hit, as their effort led to a 10-8 win over the Norfolk Tides. Norfolk also committed five errors to help the Charlotte cause. BOX

Jon Weber went 3 for 5 with a homer to pace the Durham Bulls past the Richmond Braves, 5-2. BOX

Aaron Herr and Alvin Colina drove in three runs apiece to lead the Louisville Bats to a 12-8 slugfest win over the Indianapolis Indians. BOX

The Rochester Red Wings collected only three hits, but it was enough as Francisco Liriano pitched seven innings of scoreless ball in the Red Wings' 2-1 win over the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs. BOX

Erick Almonte went 3 for 4 and drove in two runs as the Toledo Mud Hens defeated the Columbus Clippers, 6-4. BOX

It was another busy Sunday across the International League. Here are the results of all the action..

Five Buffalo Bisons drove in runs as they beat the Scranton/Wilkes Barre Yankees, 7-5 at Dunn Tire Park. BOX.

Chris Roberson drove in two runs, one of which was a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the ninth as the Norfolk Tides beat the Charlotte Knights, 5-4. BOX

Every member of the Syracuse starting line-up got one hit to lead the Chiefs to a 6-3 win over the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs. BOX

Jon Weber drove in four runs to lead the Durham Bulls to a 5-1 win over the Richmond Braves. BOX

Austin Kearns drove in four runs, but it was Ryan Langerhans' two run double in the bottom of the ninth that lead the Columbus Clippers to a 6-5 win over the Indianapolis Indians. BOX

Drew T. Anderson homered and drove in three runs to pace the Louisville Bats over the Toledo Mud Hens, 4-2. BOX

SS Mike Rouse went 4 for 5 with a pair of RBI's to pace the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs to a 10-8 win over the Durham Bulls. BOX

Jason Pridie went 4 for 4 as the Rochester Red Wings beat the Louisville Bats, 4-1. BOX

Four Columbus Clippers had two hits each as they won their second in a row over the Scranton/Wilkes Barre Yankees, 5-1. BOX

Jon Knott belted a three-run homer to break a 1-1 tie in the eighth to lead the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs to a 4-3 win over the Durham Bulls. BOX

Three Indianapolis Indian pitchers combined to allow only one-hit in their 5-0 shutout of the Buffalo Bisons. Steve Pearce belted a pair of solo homers to pace the Indy attack. BOX

The Rochester Red Wings and Louisville Bats combined for 28 hits and 18 runs with the Red Wings coming out on top of a 10-8 score. BOX

The Norfolk Tides scored three runs in the sixth and eighth innings to upend the Charlotte Knights, 6-1. BOX

Matt Watson and Kevin Mench each homered and drove in a combined five runs to lead the Syracuse Chiefs over the Toledo Mud Hens 8-2. BOX

Toledo's Matt Joyce was the offensive star of the night, belting a three run homer and a grand slam, to pace the Mud Hens to a 12-2 thumping of the Syracuse Chiefs. BOX

The Columbus Clippers' pitching staff bent, but did not break, as they scattered 12 hits and still beat the Scranton/Wilkes Barre Yankees, 4-2. BOX

The Charlotte Knights scored twice in the bottom of the ninth, the winning run coming on a third strike wild pitch with two outs, to over take the Norfolk Tides, 6-5. BOX

Jason Tyner had three of Buffalo's 11 hits to lead the Bisons to a 3-1 win over the Indianapolis Indians. BOX

Despite four hits from Lehigh Valley's Adam Watson, the Durham Bulls upended the Iron Pigs, 4-1. BOX

Adam Rosales had two homers and drove in five runs, and Matthew Mahoney threw seven scoreless innings, to lead the Louisville Bats to a 8-0 shutout of the Rochester Red Wings. BOX

The Syracuse Chiefs kept pace in the IL North with a convincing 10-2 trouncing of the Richmond Braves. BOX

Homers by Sergio Santos and Ryan Jorgensen tied the game in the eighth and a sacrifice fly by Trevor Plouffe broke it up in the 11th to guide the Rochester Red Wings past the Indianapolis Indians 7-6. BOX

Javier Castillo and Danny Richar drove in a combined 5 runs to lead the Charlotte Knights to a 7-2 win over the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs. BOX

Reid Brignac belted a homer and drove in three to lead the Durham Bulls over the Norfolk Tides 6-0 in a rain-shortened game in Durham. BOX

Here's what took place across the International League last night...

The PawSox and Bats were not the only teams to play 13 innings last night. Scott Thornton drove home the winning run in the bottom of the frame to give the Richmond Braves a 5-4 win over the Scranton Wilkes/Barre Yankees. BOX

The Indianapolis Indians scored seven runs over the last three innings, highlighted by Ronny Paulino's grand slam, to over take the Toledo Mud Hens, 8-6. BOX

The Buffalo Bisons held on to edge the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs, 5-4. BOX

The Rochester Red Wings scored in bunches in the middle innings to take the Durham Bulls, 9-4. BOX

The Charlotte Knights scattered 10 hits in beating the Norfolk Tides, 3-2. BOX

The Syracuse Chiefs and Columbus Clippers were postponed by rain.

The Scranton/Wilkes Barre Yankees held onto their lead in the IL North, pounding out 14 hits in their 9-2 win over Richmond. BOX

The Durham Bulls scored six runs in the fifth inning on their way to a 9-7 win over the Rochester Red Wings. BOX

The Charlotte Knights tallied six runs in the ninth to open up an 11-2 win over the Norfolk Tides. BOX

All the teams in the International League were slated to return to action Tuesday night. Here are the results...

The standings atop the IL North became a little tighter as the Scranton/Wilkes Barre Yankees fell to the Richmond Braves, 8-5. Richmond broke out to an 8-0 lead and held off a late SWB comeback. BOX

The Syracuse Chiefs find themselves only 1/2 game behind Scranton after their 8-2 win at Columbus. Danny Sandoval went 4 for 4 with two RBI's to pace the Chiefs. BOX

The Indianapolis Indians scattered 11 hits in their 4-2 win over the Toledo Mud Hens. BOX

The Rochester Red Wings pounded out 15 hits in their 14-2 thrashing of the Durham Bulls. BOX

Jerry Owens went 3 for 5 with two RBI's to lead the Charlotte Knights over the Norfolk Tides, 5-2. BOX

The Buffalo Bisons and Lehigh Valley Irons Pigs were rained out.

Most of the International League took a break on Monday. Here are the results of those who did play last night...

The Syracuse Chiefs and Scranton/Wilkes Barre Yankees split a double header last night in Moosic, PA. The Yankees won the opener, a completion of the suspended game from Sunday, 3-2, while the Chiefs shut-out SWB in the night cap 5-0. The Chiefs' John Parish pitched 8 scoreless innings to improve his record to 9-0 in game two. GAME ONE BOX GAME TWO BOX

The only other game was held at Coca-Cola Park in Allentown, PA as the visiting Rochester Red Wings beat the host Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs, 4-1. BOX

Here is a look at the results from across the International League on Sunday...

The battle atop the IL North Division took a pause as the Syracuse Chiefs and Scranton/Wilkes Barre Yankees' game was suspended in the top of the ninth yesterday. They will resume the game tonight at 6:00pm.

Andy Tracy produced a walk-off double in the bottom of the 10th to lead the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs to a 5-4 win over the Rochester Red Wings. BOX

Scott Moore and Oscar Salazar each knocked in two runs as the Norfolk Tides beat the Richmond Braves, 6-3. BOX

Nathan Hayes drove in the winning run in the bottom of the ninth as the Durham Bulls nipped the Charlotte Knights, 3-2. BOX

The Indianapolis Indians scored five runs in the top of the ninth to over take the Louisville Bats, 9-7. Neil Walker homered twice and drove in four runs for Indy. BOX

Ray Olmedo had three hits and drove in two to pace the Columbus Clippers over the Toledo Mud Hens, 5-4. Matt Joyce had two homers and drove in all four Mud Hen runs in a losing effort. BOX

The top two teams in the IL North Division are facing each other this weekend in Scranton. The Yankees took game one last night, shutting out the Syracuse Chiefs, 3-0. BOX

The Indianapolis Indians and Louisville Bats traded puches last night, with the Bats winning the decsion 13-12. Drew T. Anderson and Ryan Hanigan had three RBI's each for the Bats. Ronnie Paulino had a pair of homers and drove in three for Indy. BOX

On the other end of the offensive output scale, the Columbus Clippers edged the Toledo Mud Hens, 2-1. BOX

Diory Hernandez homered and drove in two to pace the Richmond Braves over the Norfolk Tides, 4-3. BOX

Josh Fields drove in three runs as the Charlotte Knights snapped their two game losing streak, beating the Durham Bulls, 6-2. BOX

The Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs got four RBI's from Oscar Robles on their way to a 6-3 win over the Rochester Red Wings. BOX

There was a full schedule of games across the International League yesterday. Here is a look at the results...


The PawSox were able to pick-up ground on the leaders in the IL North Division. In a slugfest at Moosic, PA, the Norfolk Tides edged the Scranton/Wilkes Barre Yankees 13-12. Omir Santos went 4 for 5 and drove in four runs for the Tides. Three other Tides' players drove in two runs each. BOX

The Columbus Clippers broke a 3-3 tie in the top of the 11th as they edged the Syracuse Chiefs, 4-3. BOX

The Durham Bulls scored early and often, dominating the Richmond Braves, 10-3. Elliot Johnson drove in three for the Bulls. BOX

Jerry Gil went 3 for 4 with a homer and three RBI's in the Louisville Bats' 8-3 win over the Toledo Mud Hens. BOX

Ty Taubenheim pitched 8 scoreless innings, leading the Indianapolis Indians to a 2-1 win over the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs. BOX

The Rochester Red Wings scored two runs in the ninth to tie the game then scored a single run in the 11th to edge the Buffalo Bisons, 4-3. BOX

Game Wraps- June 5, 2008

Here is a look at the outcome of the games played last night across the International League...

They played what looked like a football game in Syracuse as the Chiefs and Columbus Clippers combined for 30 hits and 27 runs in the Cheif's 17-10 win. DH David Smith belted two homers and drve in five runs while C Erik Kratz added a grand slam to lead the Chiefs. BOX

The runs and innings piled up in Louisville as the Toledo Mud Hens scored three times in the top of the 11th and barely hung on to a 13-12 win over the Bats. Freddie Guzman and Dane Sardinha had four hits each and Mike Hessman homered (#22) and drove in four runs for the Hens. Alvin Colina had two homers and drove in five in a losing effort for the Bats. The Scranton/Wilkes Barre Yankees snapped their two game losing streak, beating the Norfolk Tides, 5-3. BOX

Three Rochester Red Wings drove in two runs apiece and Francisco Liriano won his first game of the season as the Wings defeated the Buffalo Bisons, 8-3. BOX

Rich Thompson and Jason Jaramillo each drove in three runs as the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs beat the Indianapolis Indians 9-5. BOX

The Durham Bulls scored three runs inthe bottom of the seventh, enough for a 3-0 shutout of the Richmond Braves. BOX
